Hali - when you're all caught up (or decide to just skip to this page because you're over trudging through the mountains of our bullshit) I'd love to hear what you think happened tonight.
Where do you think the social dynamics lay right now? What happened tonight to make it you, not Steph?
What was your plan to kill me?
What was the part of your game that you think went most under the radar?
What was your best move overall?
And any other things you think are interesting/you think we might not know or would find cool!
this took me legit 30 minutes to read, and I still skipped through some of the cat fights lol
I'm really not sure if I got played by steph or not, if she was gaslighting me, then I think her and voce have some control here, if not she will be next if she doesn't win. they all claimed I was a jury threat because im "so nice", I tried to say that I was just a side kick to mike's game. I was gonna try and kill you at some point, but last night was too soon for me. Maybe we should've stuck with Paul/Michelle, but they were a power duo. I was def trying to stay under the radar and have my big move voting you out, but that clearly never got to happen!
Unpopular opinion: Sydney may not have much of a social game, but she's been on the chopping block since the second vote, she played the idol correctly last night, and she's still in the game.
I also can't tell if Michelle is just winning, or if she's playing an amazing lowkey game.
Yeah, sorry but not sorry. You see my post count - I don't shut the fuck up.
So for Steph - she's the reason we targeted Paul and Michelle when we did and I think that's a pivotal piece of her game she deserves credit for. She made us shoot just even one round too soon and it cost both of us back to back. It's left her with a Michelle problem but the way it all shook down was, I was ready to take Sydney and stick with Paul/Michelle because my confidence to beat everyone other than Michelle potentially at a FTC was pretty high. Stephanie was a voice of reason (to her own benefit) and basically was like "Mike, you're being a fucking IDIOT if you aren't even considering taking Sydney to the end for the guaranteed win" - that's when I went "huh, yeah this could be a good time to shoot because we'd keep a majority with Steph and Voce and then be able to do what we want".
I've been telling you all game that you had a legit shot at winning and I meant it, you should be seen as a real jury threat especially in the instances where you can separate your game from mine. I said it to you prior that I think your social game with Steph is a criminally underrated part of your game but she kinda played both of us here and did it brilliantly. I fully credit her with the Paul move because I wasn't ready to make it, knew it was the wrong timing, but she STILL got me to do. And I love it.
I KNEW one of the two of you between you and Steph was full on going to kill me at some point, if not both of you doing it. I was knowingly and blindingly loyal to the both of you and kinda wanted to die by either of your hands because it felt like it would "complete" the Mike arc nicely. Neither of you were ever my sidekicks, I never felt that way. I saw myself as the perfect shield for both of you because you've both been super under the radar whereas I wasn't as subtle. Any time anyone would come looking at either of you they'd see me in front of both of you and get tempted to shoot at me first...that's the way I rationalized it. I think I was more your and Steph's sidekick but just came out looking the other way because I'm the male in the equation and ladies don't get enough credit (ala Lindsey from last season pointing that out EARLY in one of her confessionals). There were plenty of times where I was coming to you to okay the move or you were setting me up to move the pieces around for you because I'm sure you knew how social I was and the way I played so, correct me if I'm wrong, it felt like at times you were like "Mike can go do my bidding and I'm gonna sit back and let him think he's doing all this himself"...which again, I love it. I feel the same way about Steph too.
I think I laid it out early but right now it feels like Michelle is winning, Steph is fighting hard and can make a great argument, Sydney is nowhere near the goat that everyone seemed to think she is, and Voce is just kinda...there? If either Michelle or Voce successfully idoled me out last night it would have been a MASSIVE thing on their resume BUT it ended up being Sydney who correctly played the idol to save Voce (who seemed clueless and a bit surprised still that I tried to maneuver the vote at him) that got me booted so Sydney gets the credit for the move in my books. Sydney is the only player to be able to say she survived the Morgan, James, Rodney, Paul, AND Mike vote. I don't think your opinion is as unpopular as you think because I see it like you do too.
As for Michelle's game - I think she's playing the best low-key game out of everyone. Said it earlier that she is really good at taking your information and giving nothing back. If she can SELL her game at the FTC will be interesting though. She needs to own a lot of shit.
That's why I still think Steph is competitive in this game. She'll own it all and be able to articulate herself well. Sydney is a wildcard who could have the story but I feel like she won't present it well. I don't want to write Voce off but it feels like he didn't play for half the game and just kinda ended up where he is.
